Medicare’s guidelines regarding the provision and approval of ambulance services are based on criteria relating to documentation and medical necessity. During this webcast, we will discuss First Coast Service Options’ (First Coast’s) recent probe review data findings and how you can prevent claim denials. The presentation will include claim examples and address specific codes and expectations associated with documentation for ambulance services.

Topics to be covered include guidelines associated with:

  • Ground mileage
  • First Coast’s local coverage determination for non-emergency transport
  • Signature requirements
  • Responding to documentation requests
